Our Favourite Breakfast Spots on The Gold Coast

The Byron Baes cast can say what they want about The Gold Coast… All I know is that this city is seriously in a league of its own when it comes to breakfast. Whether you’re in the mood for an extremely decadent take on eggs benny, or a more humble avo on toast - the following spots have got you covered.

Our advice on the following?
Prepare to brave the queues.

Bam Bam Bakehouse
Miami

Being the seasoned breaky enthusiast I am… I will go as far to say this is the best breakfast spot in Australia. You haven’t had eggs benedict right, until the Bam Bam edition served in a croissant… Preferably with a side of crispy bacon, sweet potato chips and their Nutella Thickshake. As the name suggests - Bam Bam is conveniently located in a large bakehouse, which makes it all too easy to grab some baked goods to accompany your meal or when you’re grabbing the cheque. Their apple crumble eclair is OTHERWORLDLY.

Tarte Bakery
Burleigh Heads

Located right next to the iconic Burleigh Beach, Tarte Bakery is an absolute must when travelling to The Gold Coast. Serving as a bakery and cafe that serves breakfast and lunch - you can always rely on Tarte to produce delectable fresh pastries, the best bacon and egg roll on the coast, Parisian aesthetics, and unique drinks. Fresh vanilla bean milk served in a cookie cup? Say no more.

The Salt Mill
Currumbin

Once again, The Gold Coast is delivering the creme de la creme… Because The Salt Mill undoubtedly does the most ELITE Acai Bowls in Australia. We have all gone through an unbalanced Acai Bowl addiction at some point, so I feel I have grounds for this statement. The hole in the wall is right across the road from the famous Currumbin Beach, so why not grab a fresh juice and Choc Granola bowl to enjoy on the sand. The very generous side of peanut butter on top is an absolute neccessity!

Elk Espresso
Broadbeach

Elk Espresso offers a classic , yet seasonal Australian breakfast with a twist. There’s something on the menu for absolutely everyone - whether that be eggs your way (truffle optional), gingerbread waffles, or pre-walk fuel in the form of a nourish bowl. The highlight for us is their Bottomless Brunch, which is your choice of meal with bottomless mimosas for an hour. Let me preface that their menu is very large, so you could easily come here every weekend. In fact, we recommend that you do!
